Despite my higher education being mainly rooted in Biology (I own a Master’s Degree in Neurobiology), I have always favored the macroscopic level of investigation in my life: this is probably why I am interested in Systems Neuroscience and in the scientific study of consciousness. As a PhD student, I am now trying to add to my scientific “arsenal” every possible computational tool that could help us tackle relevant questions related to the conscious brain – and hopefully help neuroscience inform and improve clinical practice.
In my spare time (while I’m not overthinking about consciousness) I train in a boxing gym. As many of my peers, I share the obsession of buying more books than any regular house could fit (sometimes I read them too). I have an ever-changing personal taste in music, cinema and arts in general: at this moment in time, I’m into hyperpop, David Fincher and Basquiat.
