Background
Jeffrey Robinson has been working as a senior psychometrist at the St. Lawrence Valley Correctional Treatment Centre for almost five years after graduating with a Master’s in Psychology (Forensic) from Bond University in Australia. In that time he has developed three anger management programs–one for moderate functioning mentally disordered offenders (MDO’s), one for low functioning MDO’s and a collaborative program with the addictions department for the treatment of anger and addiction in low functioning MDO’s. He has been involved in several program evaluation studies and other research and has presented at various conferences across Canada. Jeff seeks to continue his pursuits as a scientist-practitioner, conducting research that has direct clinical application. Some topics include; offender motivation, treatment outcomes, ADHD, risk assessment, and the neural correlates of consciousness and emotions, especially anger.
